Our experience in waste collection and disposal made us realize the importance of establishing a waste recovery programme. Although our paper recovery operation has been put on hold, we are currently involved in the recovery and recycling of plastic, glass, steel, and oil which reduces the quantity and type of waste that would otherwise find its way into or landfill sites and water  streams.

In January 1998, Waste Disposals Ltd. of Trinidad and Tobago and Kofman Plastics International Trading of Canada established a new local Joint Venture company called: Waste Plastic Recovery Ltd. Our objectives are to recycle industrial and domestic consumer plastic scrap as an alternative to dumping it into our environment. Our long term goal is to use that waste material to locally manufacture various consumer products.
